If you're gonna fail, Fail Hard. Oh, and what I did this past july.

Fail Hard,...that is exactly what I did in regards to regularly updating this blog.  All the "Reasons, Excuses, Ifs, Ands or Buts" cannot justify my lack of effort in writing and keeping up with my attempts at chronicling my daily ventures.

With the month of June out of the way, I can concentrate on the month of July. Concentrating.......Hmmmm, July was underwhelmingly "Meh" when it comes down to it, sure I got to enjoy the Summer weather , hang out and drink with some of my best friends; but as far as anything else, it was business as usual.

Oh, I started the process of getting my new tattoo. So yeah , I guess something did happen.

The Tattoo Parlor I decided to go to for this new tattoo was Eight of Swords Tattoo , in Williamsburg Brooklyn. the Owner/Operator and Artist of the Parlor is Dave C. Walin. If you need a Tattoo done, he's your guy, more fanboy squealing about him in a later post.

A buddy/coworker of mine took the trip out to Billyburg (do Peeps still call it that? Do folks still use "Peeps"?) with me as he wanted some more work done too. After handing in my stick figure sketch and setting a date for a consultation in August, I left ....content and wishing for July to just fly by towards August.

Did I say "August" ( I know I can't "say" anything when I am typing, cut me some slack, Language Cop), guess that means another post!

Stay tuned for my third entry on my Summer Shenanigans, or lack there of, that I will be posting up tomorrow..or...November, if my track record is any indication.

Summer, so much , so little. (June Edition)

So, this summer has been pretty good so far. Other than having no time to sit and write any blog entries, because of all the fun I've been having, you know, just soaking up sun and wasting the free time away! On the eve of Labor Day weekend, I feel compelled to write a little sumpthin' sumpthin' on the past 3 months.

June: On the 6th I got my second Tattoo done, its my wedding date in Latin Roman numerals wrapped around my fore arm, below my elbow. It is awesome (in my opinion).

The experience left something to be desired however, at the tattoo shop I went to, I found the front desk staff to be pretty accommodating and congenial, except for one lady who had her "WTF are YOU doing here?" lazor beams on full blast.

The Artist himself was too hipster for his own good, how he didn't collapse under his own apathetic , "I'm too cool for ...well...anything." persona is beyond me. He was polite.

His work was pretty good though, and the tattoo healed up nicely with no problems.

The regular School year ended and I got a few days off before reporting for Summer School, which in the big scheme of things is pretty laid back and fun.  For those who might be reading this and aren't in the know, I work for The Dept. of Education as a Paraprofessional.

That was pretty much it for June. Tomorrow I'l recap my July.

Cheaters, and the like

Cheaters.

What is it about cheating that so many people find appealing? Speaking for myself, I really don't get it. It's a mindset that I just can't seem to understand or subscribe to, I cannot think of an instance in my life where cheating was the good choice.

Before I get too far ahead of myself, let me give you some frame of what I am talking about. Lately, I have been playing CoD Modern Warfare on Xbox LIVE, again.....( I know , I know, "a video game?!? really?!" yeah - really.) ......and the one thing that has stuck out to me above all else (player skill, map knowledge, aiming prowess)  are the hackers and modders.

On any given weeknight, every single lobby is riddled with Hackers, Modders, Exploiters...in short - Cheaters. When I say every single lobby, I mean Every-Single-Lobby....it gets to a point where I cannot play the game because I refuse to go to some youtube page to download some hack to my flashdrive and join the rest of the jackoffs.

Sure, I can move on and play another game, or not play at all: but, why should I? Why should someone who just enjoys a particular  game suffer because of a group of people whose lack of skill spurs them to find a way to cheat the system? Why won't Activision and/or MS fix this? Oh yeah that's right, they have my money already so - what the hell do I expect?

It does not seem fair to either party, I get cheated out of a victory, and the cheaters have a hollow sense of victory, I mean really, these players can't feel like winners for realsies, can they?

To get to the point, FUCK THESE CHEATERS.

Second Time's a Charm?

Welp, here's my second attempt at a blog. This is where I'll be posting my thoughts and random musings.
Hopefully , this time around I will actually update it frequently and not drop the ball.

Last time around, I was very distracted and *a long list of excuses later* not able to post frequently.

I'm human, what can I say?

It doesn't get any simpler than that, or anymore complex.
(See what I did there?)
